Condition / Importance / Risk
The rule-based and table-controlled assessment via freely configurable catalogues with specific cost, ageing and damage models ensures a resource-specific assessment of the entire network. In the standard model, the operating resources are evaluated according to condition and importance/risk.
The factors to be taken into account (e.g. age, material, performance, type of construction, damage frequency, load, customers supplied, location, etc.) together with a multi-level weighting scheme result in a condition and an importance or risk number. The priority number is determined for each individual resource. For short-term consideration, the priority number is decisive for the creation of measures. For strategy development, it determines the order of priority of the budget load. The calculation of the priority number can be controlled by the asset manager and differentiated replacement and maintenance models can be included in the consideration.
Determining the risks associated with operating assets is a core requirement placed on the operators of an asset management system in ISO 55000 Asset Management. This requirement supports a proven risk management system. Technical criteria define and evaluate the risks of the individual operating assets. A risk report is used to calculate the risk matrix. The report shows both the monetary and quantitative risks and clearly presents the result in a risk matrix according to importance.
