Visualisation of gas pipelines in Berlin

In addition to the Business Intelligence solution Qlik, signion GmbH offers to create dashboards with the help of Power BI. Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg has now taken advantage of this option. 

With the help of LCC, an export of the gas supply lines was created, which was finally loaded into the Power BI dashboard. Additionally, the GIS coordinates were prepared in LCC-ANT using a dynamic script so that they can be displayed in Power BI in parallel to the exact road location.

Next to the geographical representation, the dashboard deals with the basic data of the gas pipelines, which can be reduced and ordered using intelligent filters.

In addition to the basic data, the assessment data is handled. In combination with a hotspot display of the poorly rated pipelines, this information can provide possible measures for replacement strategies.

Furthermore, the dashboard displays the damages per line and can show the connection between poorly rated and damaged lines.

It is planned that, next to the supply lines, the connection and high-pressure lines of the network company will also receive their own dashboards with the help of Power BI.
